    Tracking Fin Replacement 2003 22V

Replacing the leading tracking fin on 2003 22V. Are there nuts on the inside of the boat under the fuel tank to secure the fins? I was able to get the bolts out no problem once the 5200M on the threads broke loose... For the fin itself I've been scoring between the hull and the fin was a razor and spraying some Marine Formula Debond to try and break the 5200M. Anyone have a better method?

    Thanks

No nuts on the other side. They are basically a self tapping screw. Boat is approximately 1" thick in the center/V of the hull.

Dead blow hammer, tapping both sides. They can be a bear to get off. Just don't beat the heck out of it trying to get it off. It will finally break loose after a few blows.
    Oh Yeah!

Thanks. For anyone else that has to change a tracking fin I was amazed at how well the Marine Formula Debond works and penetrates. After scoring the the 5200M around the tracking fin I sprayed the Debond on and let it soak for an hour, and did this twice. After 2 hours I was easily able to put a putty knife between the tracking fin and the hull and it came right off. No hammers or wrestling it off. It also gums up the 5200m and cleanup of the hull was a breeze. Great stuff, but it ain't cheap. $30 for the can plus shipping...
