Second question- on the front of the engine- very back of the boat.
It is hard to reach. The picture in your other post shows it well. The pump shaft is turned by the pulley the flange is bolted to. The pump housing is held in place by the hoses and a bolt to the bracket below the housing. Many people find it easier to remove the whole housing, change the impeller, and then replace the housing. You lay on the engine and basically work blind. Good luck. If you're handy and don't get too frustraited, you can do it in an hour to two. The bolts to the pulley are the hardest to get started.
