so is there anything special your supposed to do on the engine block before starting after you have drained all the water out?
just curious as the motor will be somewhat dry and takes a bit for water to get into all the areas and then flow out the exhaust.

Other then make sure the plugs are in and hoses are secure, nope! Just make sure you do get water out the of the exhaust within a minute or so of starting.
