    CD player skipping

Does anyone here have any ideas on how to install a CD player in the glove box that will minimize skipping. I have a pioneer right now and I am going to be getting a newer model to play mp3. I would like to stick with pioneer due to the fact that I have the wired remote for it.

I have an idea to actually make a holder for it so it is not attached to the glove box cavity. The holder will, in effect, let the disc player free float in the opening. The holder will have a closed cell foam supporting it on all sides to absorb the shocks.

Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks.

If you can get it to work properly I would be intrested in getting something like that for my boat....nothing like having your cd skip everytime you hit a roller.

Let us know how it works out.

Get an mp3 player and wire it through the back! it will cost you just as much as a new head unit. So wire up that ipod and dont sweat it. Or get a cd deck with a built in hard drive for mp3s and itll be just as good but cost alot more.

I have thought about getting a portable mp3 player to connect to the current deck. But my brother runs a stereo business on the side (he is a firefighter) and I can get the head units fairly cheap.

As I look into what I am going ot do, I'll try to make notes and take pictures to document everything. Maybe I can get a system worked out that works fairly well and let everyone here know about it.

I use my Ipod connected through the back of the factory Clarion system and it works great.
