    Draining the block

Where are the drain plugs located on a 1998 350 MAG? After I get those drained and disconnect one of the heater hoses.Should I blow air thru to clear out any water? And then pour the pink stuff into the top hose.Should that be enough?

Yes on blowing air into the heater hose that you disconnected.

Should I disconnect the hose from the heater ( does not come off easily) or right from the motor? I need to find out where to drain the block. The blue plugs I see ,but there could be more water in there right? I did the fake a lake, got the engine up to temp. Switched hose, started adding pink stuff. Found out the impeller went bad(was working with the garden hose) The sea water inlet is very close to the trailer bunk,so the fake a lake do not seem to be sealing well enough. When I add the pink stuff I am holding the funnel above the side of the boat.I am looking for some suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

Drain the block of all water, remove one heater hose from block and blow air into the hose. Install hose and all of your blue plugs. Remove largest hose from the thermostat housing and pour 2.5 gallons of pink antifreeze into hose, install hose then go inside and eat a bite of dinner.

This is exactly what I do.

Just 1 question, who is suppose to make diner? Was that my job or hers? We are still trying to work that one out.

Take-out and both are happy! I hated to winterize mine yesterday, but I will still take it out if we have a nice enough day.

Last year I just let the blue plugs drain out and then put them back in. Then ran pink stuff through while engine was running. Does that about do it?

Drain the block, do you mean unscrew all the blue plugs? What should I do about the shower?
                  Thanks!

Remove the plugs, un hook one heater hose then turn on the shower to pump the shower pump dry. Turn the shower controls to max hot and cold. When you fill the block with antifreeze you could turn on the shower pump to get some antifreeze in the lines.

This is a little off topic, but I understand NOW why we are to change our oil at the end of the season and not to let in sit inside the engine over the winter.

Here is my issue, if I get a chance to go out on a nice day here in NC and I have already changed my oil how bad is this? What will it hurt if I go out for several hour one day? or couple of times?

                      Thanks

IMPO I think any opportunity to run the boat during the off season is a plus. It's supposed to be in the 70's here tomorrow and we plan to go out. It will also give me the opportunity to get some fuel stabilizer in the system.

Can't stand the whining...we only logged about 140 hours this year.Throw those plugs back in and go when you have the opportunity. We went out with goboardgo yesterday and it was a great fall day. Here's the proof...Benj pulling a TS 540 behind a MC 190.The owner didn't know anyone could throw inverts behind his ski boat, but not a bad wake considering.
