    Tige Switch 20i

My Question is: Are there any tricks in filling the fuel tank?
The Switch 20 i does not like to fill fuel without spashback!
I can drink beer faster than I can fill my boat with fuel!
It is Fitted with a plastic Inca Model f03033 fuel tank and has the Australian factory vents etc.
any help or clues would be great!
    Love my Switch

There's a novel idea!. Grab a tall Fosters to fill up the boat

I used to have similar troubles in my previous boat (non Tige). I found that by inserting the dispensing nozzle as far as I possibly could into the opening of the gas tank, I would almost eliminate all of the splash back. My 2003 22V does not have any problems like that.

How cool! It must be riding season for you folks down under. Up here, most of us (except for the real die hards) have our boats put away for the long winter

We have the same problem and we have figured out theres alot of reasons to It.

If we have it on trailer and fill it up at a normal gas station, there is no splash back, but in the boat marina, we get splash back alot If we pull the handle on the nozzle all the way down to full power.

Another thing to consider is have all people in the boat go to the opposite side of the boat so the gas flows down and/or make sure people in the boat aren't moving around or shaking the boat.

I usually have a good estimate on how much gas that needs to be filled so I will usually "listen" for it. Once it gets close to the top I usually start slowing down, from there the pump will automatically stop.

there is a check valve on the fuel vent line. that check valve needs to be staight up and down to let the tank vent properly, also make sure the vent line doesn't have a trap or sag in it . those things will cause gas to spit back up when filling.
