    Whats this wire for?

I was giving the boat a good cleaning tonight and while cleaning the vinyl around the throttle, I noticed a cable with two wires coming out behind the side panel. Its a grey wire and looks to be about 10 gauge or bigger with a two prong female adapter on the end. I looked under the dash but for the life of me cannot find where this would plug into. Does anyone know what this might be for?

I didn't have the camera with me. I'll have to take one over the weekend.

Here is a picture I found on Graingers website of the connector.

That is the same connector I have on the removable winch on my 4 wheeler. Takes a high amp wire. Try and trace the wires back to the source. Maybe the previous owner had a heater or something he plugged in?

From what I recall Tige never used a connector like that. Must be for something after market like a spot light or heater or something.

If I had to guess, it would be for a heater or on-board battery charger. Did you buy the boat new or was it used?

Just thought of one more thing. That's the exact connector used by my battery-operated lift motor for my Shoremaster lift.

I bought the boat used and it does have the optional heater, but the heater works fine. It may be for a battery charger. I'm going to trace the wire to see where it leads to.

No perfect pass. Although it is on my list of add-ons.

That may be it. The previous owner kept it on a lift on a lake in Indiana. There is enough reach to go outside the boat.
