    Clogged lake water intake

First off I have a 2001 21i, while I was out this last weekend I was camping where there was a lot of wood debris. I think some of this debris got sucked up and I overheated and had to be towed back. I know on my old inboard there was a screen right before the transmission cooler that debris would get caught in. Is this the same for the tige inboards??

Tige does offer a raw water filter as an option, but dont know for how long back. Just fallow the hose from the tru-hull scoop to the trans and see if it has one.

I would remove the inlet hose at the raw water impeller housing and back-flush the system if no strainer is present. Good luck.

There was a screen where the water enters the transmission cooler after leaving the impellar housing. I pulled the hose off the transmission cooler and the screen had all sorts of debris wedged in it, pulled it all out and problem solved!!
