    New, to me, boat questions

I just picked up my first Tige this weekend, a 1999 21V Riders Ed. Being a 1999 it didn't come with any literature and there are a few questions that I have about some of the items on the boat.
    - There is a "trans oil" light on the dash that did not go out after starting the boat. I checked the fluid level and smell and it looked right. The temperature of the trans didn't seem to get excessively hot either. Any ideas?
    - Does anyone know if there is a 'special method' for installing the back cushions? Some of mine are loose and I found the hardware in the holds under the seats. I can tell where the studs go through the wall and the fender washer w/ /nut will attach, but my arms don't come close to reaching and I'm not a bulky guy. Just wondering if I have to take out the seats that I can reach and then reinstall in reverse.
    - I'll take some pics, but the engine looks to be sitting tilted slightly to the stbd side (has actually rubbed the engine compt bulkhead some). Is this normal or should I take it to the dealer and have it straightened? It looks like the engine can be straightened out in the engine compt but I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks for your help everyone, I used a lot of your advice when researching the boat and checking for issues at pre-buy.

Trans light should be on while at low speeds/idle and should go off once you take off.

Installing the lean back on the back seat or the seat cushions? The seat cushions should press into place unless they have the stainless brackets which are mounted to the seat and the fiberglass. Post a picture of it and we will help ya.

The engine should be level from port to starboard. Check to see if the adjustment bolts on the motor mounts are loose.
    My TAPS goes to eleven!

The "Trans" light is actually an oil pressure indicator for the V-Drive. At low speeds the drives apparently are OK with splash oiling, but the pump pressurizes as RPMs rise and then the idiot light turns off. By 1,000 or maybe 1,200 RPM (while under way) the light should go off.

Take a look at my thread on replacing my vinyl.

I would have the dealer align your engine before it does any further damage.

My trans oil light usually goes out when my RPMs reach 1000.
