Has anyone else had the problem of the swim pltform having much play up and down?? I looked how it is made and the design seems to well "suck". The grooves on the brackets are worn and there are only 2 pins that hold it together. Any suggestions..

I have a 2002 Tige 21V riders edition. My platform is Teak. It is a Quick release. I got very frustrated with the vibration. Bigger pins will not solve the problem. However I did something that has woked okay for a few days now. THere is quite a bit of aluminum in the bracket that is thru bolted to the boat. So I drilleg a 1/4 in deep hole in the aluminum only, not the HULL. I tapped and helicoiled it. I then matched up the holes in the bracket to the platform brackets and drilled a slightly larger hole. I never seized three stainless steel bolts and lockwashers and bolted in it the the bracket. 3 bolts total + the 2 pins. ROCK SOLID now. THe question is will it last? It took me about three hours with the boat out of the water.

Unknown.........Maybe a good machine shop can fabricate something out of an aluminum block??????"I feel sorry for people that don't drink, when they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're gonna feel all day" - Frank Sinatra
