    Warning Buzzer!!!! HELP!!!

Warning buzzer comes on after boat has been running for approx 2 minutes. Does not matter if idle or under throttle. Keeps buzzing until boat is shut off and repeats itself everytime. Oil pressure is good, temp is good, oil level is good...... Red light is not illuminated. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Given the year, do you have a Marinepower or a Mercruiser, both were options for the year. I have an '05 with the Marinepower 340 hp and there was a loose ground causing the alarm to go off every once in a while. I finally tracked it down to the back of the ignition switch. It might be somewhere to start?

cool! the only thing is thhat it isnt intermittent it happens every time the boat is turned on. What sensors or devices cause that buzzer to sound??? if the buzzer were workin properly?

That was the only problem I've encountered and could help on. This really won't help you much, but for others reading to try to help, they will want to know what engine you have still. Each one will sound the alarm for different reasons. You could call my dealer, 888-517-3178. It is called Forte's Inboard Connection.

You could have a bad oil pressure switch or a bad coolant temperture switch which are grounding switches which will fail periodically and cause the alarm to sound. Your gauges run off of sending units which are varable resistance and have no effect on the alarm. Look next to your oil filter , just above it on the side of the block and you will see a brass pipe that tees and has a small round switch with a wire on it , and on the other part of the tee is a larger bulb looking sender , unhook the wire off of the smaller switch and see if the alarm goes off when the engine is running, if it does the switch is bad. If the alarm still sounds next look on the cooling system for the temp switch and unhook it and start the motor again and see if alarm sounds. If after dooing that the alarm still sounds you would have to look for the alarm wires grounded or you have more serious problem.

If the drain plug/knock sensor was remover and the wire not replaced you will get the condition that you have mentioned.
