I am thinking of putting on an FAE on my 20V and am wondering how far from the transom does it stick out?

How hard is it to disconnect from swim platform with quick release kit?

If you loosen the hose clamps can the down tube be rotated up for storage so it is positioned closer to the transom?

I store the 20V in a 21' 5" garage and with it in the normal mounted position it does not look from pictures I have seen that it will fit. I need to remove the swim platform to get it in now and depending on how far the FAE sticks out I may or may not have to pivot it or even worse remove it. If I have to remove it to store the boat between trips in the summer it won't be worth it.

How far from transom 13"

With quick release kit very simple just remove 2 pins.

To remove disconnect the 2 quick release pins and 4 hose clamps.

Rotating tube up is not reccommended per FAE.

If it takes more than 15 minutes to disconnect and another30 minutes to re-install I probably will not get it for $430

Is yours in inside storage?

Mine has been in Garage since I brought it home from dealer in April so all I am doing is making sure add on item like the FAE does not screw it up. It is not hard to write a memo here in Illinois but when in Texas

Go polished. Some guys have had trouble with the black paint coming off.

As for my garage, yes, I normally store my boat in it. However, it's 20' x 30' with a 16'x8' door.

I would love to have a 30' deep garage with an 8' door but I was blessed with 7' door and 21'6" so it will fit now but I need to make compromizes.

Thanks for advice on FAE. Polished does look sweet and it is only $75 more and with me taking it on and off I don't want to deal with paint coming off.
