Using HEAT in the gas?

Has anyone ever used HEAT to get rid of the moisture in your gas tank??? We use it in the winter in Wisconsin, just wondering if it would work for the condensation inside the tank.

um... IMHO, that would be a very bad idea, as it could create an explosion hazard. Besides, gas evaporates at a lower temp than water.

I think he is referring to a gas additive, not actual thermal heat.

i have never heard of the product "heat". we use a product called motormax, it works great on the moisture in the tank. if it works in you car then it should work in the boat.

from what I was told, heat is not much more than isopropyl alchohol. and that would make sense since it is a product that is supposed to seperate water from fuel.

Why would you use this if you have a water / fuel separator? I'm confused.

typically it's used when you store a car or boat or waht not for long periods of time w/o running them.

a fuel/water seperator will eventually fill up with water. you then have water entering your fuelrail then your cylinders. not good.
