oil pressure

I have the 350 mag mpi, when idling, the oil pressure is 40 psi, when I accelerate, the oil pressure jumps to about 70psi, is this normal, I do not remember this happening last year....although it has been a fricken long winter in MN. I am using 40 wt automotive oil. I can only find info on low oil pressure...thanks.

That can happen if you are using fresh oil.

i changed it last year during winterization...thanks

Once the oil becomes used, the pressure will drop some.
