    Different taps problem

When I pulled my boat out of storage this year the bracket on the taps plate had separated from the bottom of the cylinder. It seems all there was holding it together is a rubber bushing pressed into the bottom of the ram and then crimped. I was able to push it back in an then I pinned it hope it stays. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it.

My TAPS plate has screws holding it to the cylinders, but mine's an older TAPS system. Got a pic? It's hard to imagine that there's just a pin there.

Here is a pic. The area I am pointing to is where it separated. It is just a rubber bushing pressed up into the ram and attaches to the mounting bracket this should be more clear
