    Seatback coming off

2000 21V Limited...Upholstered seatback coming off one side of the open bow. Looking down the back it appears some screws gave way. I never thought about how they are attached but it looks like they are screwed on from the back, maybe before the deck and hull were mated? I cant figure how to reattach since I cant get up behind it. Anyone had this issue or have ideas? I had this posted on wakeworld and someone suggested this was the right place to try. Tks in advance for any input

I have the same boat as you. I'm in the process of replacing my vinyl. The front center bow seatback has nuts and washers holding it from the back side. You can see the holes on either side (there's 4 of them) and how you gain access to them via the cut-outs.

The other seatbacks are screwed from the seatback side using normal deck screws (I'd get something that won't rust). The seatback itself is actually in two pieces (upper and lower). What you have to do is spread the seatback in between the two sections and then put the new screws in. In one of my drill bit sets I have a screw driver attachment that has a loose sleeve over the actual bit so it won't scratch or tear what it comes in contact with. Otherwise, you'll need someone to help you from tearing a hole in your vinyl. You'll need only about 6 screws for each seatback.
