    Replacing rubber bumper around boat

I am looking for suggestions for replacing the rubber around my 22V. Do I need to heat it, or? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Rub rail.

You can order new ones on the internet. Stay away from the metal ones I am told.

      RUB RAIL

Are you replacing the insert or the whole rub rail?

If you are replacing just the rubber insert, you should be able to match up the cross-section and dimensions with one a an online retailer.

A heat gun makes it easier to go around the bow. Also, wait til it warms up unless you have a heated shop/garage to do this in.

I am just replacing the rubber insert. I have already purchased it. I was going to have the shop by me install it, but by the time I actually got it from them, they raised there quote to install it 3 times. They first wanted $110., and then it jumped to $440.00. by the time I got it. So I told them I'd just do it myself. I'm not real pleased with Capitol Watersports here in Sacramento. They aren't very organized.

It is pretty easy to replace the center piece. Just make sure you get the seam right.
