    Perfect pass vs ???

    Anyone
When we surf and get the speedo at 13.0 it stay just fine. When we wake board it is whole different story keeping the speed steady. My question, is perfect pass the only after market speed control for an older boat? I have been doing some searches but not coming up with much. I found one Gps controlled but it only worked with the fly by wire systems.

    Thanks for the help.

We put a PP on our boat last year and it has been great. It holds speeds from 12 thru 26 with no problem. Have you called PP? There are a couple of program parameters that can be adjusted. I tweaked them on ours and it ran better than with the defaults.

      There's another system that's GPS based: www.zerogps.com/.

dogbert is correct I don't one yet. I am trying to pritorize what I need first for my boat. I have been looking at the wakeboar pro also. I see they have a new model out call stargazer, I guess it is gps based. I can see by the site I can get wakebaord pro for $1099 wich dosen't sound like a bad price. I want to call and talk to them about the differnce with the pro and digital pro other than smart timing functions.
                  1. perfect pass

I am in the same dilemma Samw. Too many toys, not enough hours to earn enough to buy them all!

I was thinking of installing the PP myself next summer. Has anyone done this? Is it strictly a dealer install? I know a hole has to be cut, I'm ok w/ that. The engine connections and adjustments are what makes me wonder if a self install is wise.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

If you can install a 2nd battery then this is definitely a self-install. The computer gets mounted under the dash, a new gauge, mount/connect the servo motor/linkage, drill hole in bottom of boat (hardest part - mentally, not physically), mount speed/temp sensor in hole (good feeling) and install the wiring harness. I spent the most time installing the wiring and mounting the servo motor/linkage. The wiring is all wire-tied in like factory. The servo motor/linkage is mounted above the left rear side of the intake and wraps around the front of the throttle body to catch the linkage on the right side. It's all on tube stand-offs and uses existing holes in the fuel rails. There are several things that can be checked before using on the water. Be sure to connect the computer power lead to the iginition switch, not the gauges. Haven't had any problems with ours. First time out it was ON and didn't realize it. Went to full power to go across the lake and it took over control at whatever default it was set to. Thought I was having engine problems. Won't have a boat without it.

Wakeboard Pro is definatly the way to go. It has differant modes to set individual speeds into. We love ours. I would NEVER own another boat without it.

I installed the PP on our boat the first year we owned it. It is very scary putting a hole saw through the bottom of your expensive boat! I think I measured 20 times to cut once. Once you are past that, the rest is a piece of cake. Directions are very good and include pictures. I cannot imagine not having PP now. It makes the job of driver sooooo much easier, especially when you want to watch the kids in the rearview. Makes the riders much happier as well. Mine is 4 years old now, I am sure they are even better now.

Yeah, I'd do the PP first.

We had PP wakeboard pro on our last boat and it's excellent.
You can call PP and they are helpfull even though they are French, or consider themselves French.
My only PP gripe was it required me to have to think.

Tige speed control ya only have to push a button,, no brain required and that suits me perfect.
