maybe some of you will have run across this. my perfect pass set at 22mph drop throttle to say 3/4 boat pulls me out fine then the fun starts it goes up to over 30mph (not fun on a wakebaord) then it drops all the way down to around 15 then it comes back to 22 once there it holds normal. what advice ya got for me.

You can change settings that adjust how aggressively the system will adjust the speed. The KDW, and NN. The KDW adjusts how aggresively it changes and NN changes the sample rate of the paddle wheel, set these right and it will hold between .1-.3 mph all the time.

Another thing is that once you are up, dont leave the throttle down to 3/4 bring it back up so that is slighty over where it would need to be for the desired speed. The PP needs the extra slack in the line to adjust the speed accordingly, but too much and it will take a while for it to wind up the cable and compensate.

I would tell you how to get to the setting but truth be told I forgot. I know its a comibination of the menu and up or down, something like that.

It could also be the tension motor. Check their website on how to determine this.

ours will do the same thing if we dont bring the throttle back... when it beeps i normally bump it back about a half of an inch and she will hold right there.. you just have to get used to where to stop and how hard you are pulling someone up... took me some time ....

i will have to try that. i was using it like we use my friends cc210 it may just take some getting use to. plus my wife has never driven so im dealing with that too but she was starting to get the hang of it.

what if u have the tige speedset?? its really inaccurate and doesnt seem to have a manual on how to change the settings.

You know my brother in law has an MB boat and it has the PP and it sounds like its the same as what you guys are talking about it goes up and down(Thats what HE said) and its was VERY ANNOYING. My brother on the other hand has the PP on his MALIBU LSV and he dont have to do that at all it just goes and sets and prego its done no running the speedo up and down up and down up and down up and down . jeez Id just stick with the Speedset its wonderful Ive mastered its art and consider myself an expert on the topic. PUFT! Perfect pass my BUTTHOLEO!

BTW, there was also another thread about adjusting some settings on PP to dial in the speed sampling rate and speed adjustment rate: KDW (surge control) an NN (paddle wheel sensitivity). Here's the thread. It's a must read.

Dean, what is "inaccurate" about your SpeedSet? My AccuSet is dead-nuts-on and the SpeedSet, IMHO, works 10x better.

I have noticed that there is some fluctuation in the digital read out as compared to the analog speedo, but no noticeable speed change in the boat. This is the same as what I've seen over the years in cars with both digi and needle speedo's. I think it is the sample rate/processor speed of the digital gauge that gives the appearance of "hunting"

its when we set the speedset for 22mph (which is our boarding speed), it doesnt stay at it, we find that it cant keep a constant throttle control; it would put on too much throttle so it speeds up to about 23/24, then backs off the throttle alot so it slows down to 20-21. You can also hear the engine rev then back off, and i wasnt impressed when we went into the MC which had a PP and worked perfectly. i cant find any instructions on how to adjust it so it is less 'aggressive' when speeding up and so it responds quicker when it gets below our desired speed.

when it locks in, are you putting the throttle to WOT? Unlike PP, the speed set likes to be put to WOT other wise it will hunt.
