Hey all, first post and I'm sorry it has to be an annoying question. I have a 2005 22V and my PerfectPass speedo recently stopped working (stays @ 0mph), which obviously renders PP useless. Does anyone know where the PP gets its speedometer input from? It reads at least 5-8mph slower than my analog guage so I assume they arre using different sensors/senders.

There's a thru hull fitting with a paddle wheel in it. It will be mounted near your V-Drive on the right side. It's possible to damage the paddle wheel by hitting it on a trailer or lift bunk if you're not careful. Otherwise, it could be the computer module on the PP.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

If you need a new paddlewheel kit here's what you get. The paddlewheel is an Airmar ST300 speed-temperature thru-hull sensor: http://www.airmar.com/pdfs/install/17_274-01_r02.pdf
You can get the repair kit from various suppliers. I carry a spare kit.
If you turn the system on and spin the paddlewheel you can get it up to 5-8 mph to see if it's working.Attached Files
