    New Tige Owner

We just bought the 2008 RZ4, I have only been out twice, but have been disappointed with wake. We have been riding in very choppy water due to it being late September in Montana. I talked to the dealer, but any help out there. P.S. any one want to buy the 20" tires of my trailer. I am taking them off to put New COOPERs on. Only 200 miles on them.

You'll need to experiment with weight in your boat. On a V-Drive, you really want a 60/40 weight distribution front/back.

Try TAPS at 4/5 with the speed of 22. The rope length should be 65 feet. That is what I am doing on my 24Ve and it's sweat!!!!!!

As others have said, it takes time and TAPS does not need to be pegged at 8 all the time.

Sweat equity of course. Because it is super hot in those storage compartments when you really get yourself into them.

Did it work? Dang, busted me again.

Give us some more info on things such as: amount of ballast and where it's placed?, speed, TAPS, line length, boarding or surfing?

The RZ4 hull is almost identical to the 24v/Ve and there are a lot of those on here that are dialed in.

                    Welcome
First off we need Pic's of your RZ4.....we live of pic's on this site.

Second you have gone out twice in very choppy water.....thats you problem. I bet if it was any other day with out a brand new rz4 you most likely would not have boarded because of bad water but sense you have the new boat you want to try it out.

Once you get some good water and add a little ballast I promise you wont be disappointed.

G's right, the wake on every boat sucks when it's choppy. I'd find some good conditions and then work on dialing in your wake. Bring a bunch of friends, tell them they have to divulge their weight if they want to come, and start playing musical chairs. Also, don't forget to play with the TAPS because it will help you clean up your wake. You'd be surprised with how well it will help you control the wash. Remember, these boats like 50/50 or better front/back weight distribution.

tell us what wieght you run and the split. speed is very important. rope length. taps setting. and what is it you dont like size shape to much ramp not enough ramp to soft to hard be specific. we took an RZ2 out with 950# of lead ballast 200# frt 700#rear 50# in middle to move side to side and 8 people the wake was insane with taps on 5. im talking HUGE! i think your gona find the nose wieght to be very important do you have any weight up frt.? i know the RZ4 can do just as well you just have to try some things you will find it.

                          Hi..
I just bought a RZ4 (mid August).. been out in it 4 times.. rough to fair water. With 4 to 6 people (no other weight) we are running a 55 ft rope .. speeds 18 to 22 .. TAPS at 4 to 5 for slower speeds and 5-6 for faster. Wake is great in fair water.. the wake breaks down as the water (or wind) gets rougher

I think everyone has that problem when the wind gets up. That is why a bunch of us go to surfing when the water gets choppy.
