22ve - Taps and Drain questions

Taps - Is there a fuse/breaker on the taps system? I do not have any breakers blown, but my taps is not working. It's like the button is dead. I have had a breaker problem with my blower, so I was hoping it was something like that.

Drain issue -I have been trying to figure out how to get my boat to totally drain the bilge. Where the bilge pump is located, there is still a channel of water sitting in the boat that it can't reach. My boat stays on a lift at the lake and I can't seem to get the proper angle to get all the water out of the rear plug. I am curious to know if my bilge pump is in the wrong location. It is in the back left corner of the engine compartment, not at the lowest part of the engine compartment.

I know on some other boats there is a second plug, but I don't know of one on mine.

I usually don't have a water problem but the rains this summer have maxed out my gutter system and let a bunch of water blow under the roof. In some of our rains we were getting as much as 4" per hour. Definitely not a normal year.

same problem with my 2004 20v.
I just raise the noise about 20 " and it drains fine
Tige, it's a way of life!

You only have one plug. I noticed that channel when I put in my ballast system. No way to get the bilge pump lower. I raise the front of the boat to get the water to the transom and use a portable wet/dry vac to get most of the water out.
      Let it be!!!

Take the plug out while on the ramp and drive home. Water will eventually make it's way out the plug hole and out of the boat....

My 22V does the same thing, the bilge pump is late starting and off too soon. Just a function of its location. It isn't really a problem, but if you want to get all the water out you have to raise the nose or use another pump or wet-vac.

My 24 ve stays on a lift as well. Same issue with water in the bilge and not enough angle on the lift. Simple solution that worked .... TAPs to 8, speed 10 MPH to lift the bow, manually turn on bilge pump, bilge was pumped dry. Had my son take out the boat and do this while I watched the stream of water from the dock.

my 07' 22ve also has this problem draining. probably partly to do with the convex hull design, but also my drain hole is about an inch above the bottom of the hull, not good. pulling it at the ramp helps, but never gets it all. and I dont feel like doing the shop vac thing.
