that's where mine is at. Mine was at 80, the setting, and the NN was at 100, I moved the 80 to 200, so we shall see how she runs now.

My paddle wheel is in front of the engine to the left side of the drain hole. Works great when the boat is level but poorly as I described in my earlier post. With the paddle so far forward I can understand why the paddle would be erratic when wakeboarding. When I was installing the ballast system I drilled a hole for the water inlet a little farther back of the transmission than Zad’s install. Took the opportunity and put the paddle wheel there to see if it would help the problem. It did help the surging but I could not adjust the lag out of the speed setting. The speed would very 2-3 mph from the set point. It was terrible. I tried several different combinations of kw and nn settings with no success. I thought the problem might be the paddle was to far back now. So I moved it back to the original place. I have mine set at 80 and 120 but have tried other settings with no improvement. I’ve been reading on Wakeworld.com about a product called Zero Off which is a GPS based speed control system that does not require a paddle wheel. I’m not really fired up about spending more money on a speed control device but the way PP works right now it makes me crazy sometimes.

I know there have been other discussions here about PP but frankly I haven't been that interested in reading them all. It gets technical and I start to fall a sleep. I am just looking for someone to tell me the quick fix. Until then I will continue to do it the old way keep my hand on the throtle and adjust as needed.

I like to watch the rider as much as I can while driving, so not having to worry about the speed makes it more enjoyable for me also when I'm wakeboarding having a consistent speed keeps me face up most of the time As a fall back I'll use the RPM mode but if you have much wind to deal with the speed can vary a lot. My neighbor has a Malibu 21 LXI with PP and the paddle wheel is located about the same place as mine and he doesn't seem to have any problems with his. I haven't been beside his boat while on the water to see where the water break line is but I'm assuming it's far enough forward of the paddle to not create the excessive surging that mine has.

ha ha ha, ok, or maybe I just suck. I know I can do all my tricks with no ballast that I can with ballast and I can still land 15 feet in the flats, so I just figured. Yeah I don't go as high, but still. I'm no pro either.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!
