Polished uprights?

Has anyone polished their tower uprights? Looking to do something to them since they look kind of plain. They look like they are raw aluminum and I could just wet sand and polish them out, make them nice and shiny!

Anyone done it?

nope, but wish I didn't have the powdercoating on the uprights. They are chipping and are not under warranty.
