what v-drive tranny?

In looking at Jeff T's gorgeous boat pics, I was wondering what transmission they're using these days- his is painted metallic grey. Are these still Velvet drive?

Also- is the synchrotech option still available? I was just thinking how much of a torque MONSTER a 22vé or RZ2 with the 360 high torque powerplant and synchrotech would be.

I'm looking in the 2007 Tigé brochure and it says that the Synchrotech transmission is only an option for the 20V. I'm a little confused though because it shows that the RZ2, 22Vé and 24Vé all come with the Z-Tech transmission standard. It doesn't list the Synchrotech as optional for these boats.

Also it doesn't list the Synchrotech or the Z-Tech as standard for the other boats (22i, 21i, 20V, and 20i) so I don't know what transmission comes on those boats. All it shows is that the Synchrotech is an option for the 20V.

I know this doesn't really answer your questions but maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in...

they use the zf hurth. gear reduction is standard.
