    hey smendez...

Thanks alot for the reply! The tower and bimini Lee has looks exactly like the one I have. But I am still perplexed by the back part of it having no support, even with alot of adjusting, even the slightest pull, which happens if your trying to reach a wakeboard up on the rack, or rough housing in the boat, the back end flops down and undoubtely wacks somebody. There has got to be something I can do seeing as how the last person to get wacked was my girl friend, and you know what that means...fix it or else!!! Not that I mind the couch!

      Eric:

I agree with you. I'm not sure what you paid for that top, but I know they're not cheap. As there's just no way that it was designed to be as flimsy as you say it fits on your boat.

The top I have is much different. I guess it's because the tower is different as well.

Have you called Metcraft to ask them about this? I saw this number posted by another member in a different thread -> Metcraft 818 504-6888

I was hoping to get my boat back this week, but my dealer has their folks in Texas for training, so I may have to wait a little longer. Which is ok, as it's not boating season for us yet. The water is a little colder than we like it.

Again, I'll post some pictures when I get my boat back, though I doubt they'll be much help being that the two designs are so different

        Hey smendez,

Sorry to here about your boat being in the shop. I was looking at the pic that you sent earlier, and it looks like your bimini might be able to mount to the front tower strut to keep it out of the way of your speakers... Well anyway hope the dealer fixes it for you.

          Hey Eric,
I put up my bimini for the first time last weekend and initially had the same thing - the back part can flop down and crack you in the head.

What I found was along the side, where you have a velcro flap that wraps around the horizontal support, there is an extra velcro tab that attaches near the rear support. This carries the tension from the front all the way to the back, which holds it up.
It doesn't look like it would work, but we ran around all day in different conditions and didn't have any problems.

I found a picture of another Tige with the bimini up that shows this part. Hope this helps.
