    teak cleaning

Can someone please help me out, I have a teak platfrom...not on my boat but a platfrom I picked up a while back and it is near bleached and I was wonder if I could take a teak cleaning 101 course from a tigé owner

Tips or step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

A teak restore kit is the best way to go. Just fallow the directions on each bottle. If it is really bleached out, you may want to do a light sanding after the 1st step (cleaner) and before the 2nd (brightner). You may also need to re-oil in a few weeks, as the dry teak will soak up the 1st coat.

If you can make it look good, it should be well worth your time.

I've used this product several times and it works really well.

That's why I still want an answer as to why the Fiberglass has an upgrade cost associated with it instead of a credit when ordering new?!? It's kind of like when you order perscription Oakley sunglasses. They charge you normal price for the frame that comes with the lense and then they charge you for the perscription lense and don't return the non-perscription lense.

I actually found a picture of someone else's teak. The mount looks identical to mine. Let me know if you still need a picture.

One from the side would be great if it's not too much trouble.

                              Thanks guys.
