    Calling Harvy, Perfect Pass Question

    Harvey,

are you out there? Need to know if you remember talking to annhenny about my perfect pass, have an 03 21ir, and Andy was saying that I need to add a new switchboard or something. My perfect pass will not hold a constant speed, and in turns will drop as low as 5mph. Any ideas? Do you remember? Or do you have the number I can call at perfect pass?

    Thanks!!

Check your paddle wheel for shaft slope and proper location if it is on the transom, if the shaft is worn or the housing to high it will get bad readings. If you get on the web you can get perfect pass web site and get a tech line to call.

I would check the paddle wheel first and it could be any thing servo motor, brain? The number to Perfect Pass is 902 468-2150 ask for Gary Allen.

I remember reading on WW about someone who had a paddlewheel shaft that was worn and the paddle wheel would not spin freely all the time. I'm not sure if you checked that yet, but worth a look. He was just reaching under and giving it a spin and thought it was fine, then he actually took it out and found the worn shaft.

Dom have you always had this problem with the speed control or is this a new issue?

I had this problem on my PerfectPass right after I got it. It ended up being that computer control module, not the servo, but I'd check the servo first. If you go online to PerfectPass, there's a troubleshooting section that will tell you how to check this.

                            Sanger,

Pretty much aways had the problem. Someone said that my type needs some new control board or something to make it work better. The servo is loose, does that matter? I mean you can turn it when it's not on, but when you turn the juice on it's solid.

                            Dogbert,

I seem to remember someone saying something like what your talking about. How did you figure it out?
