Has anyone with a 22Ve had any problems with the plastic pad at the base of the tower mounts shifting? See attached photo.

I've owned a Tige since '99, but this is my first with a tower.
Both front tower mount plastic pads have shifted as well. The front mounts (and of course the pads therefore) have been noticeably (very) loose, and have been tighted multiple times during last summer, some by me, some by the dealer.
The back tower mount does not feel loose, even though the pad has shifted.
Is tighening the tower mounts all the time just regular maintenance with a tower?

Make sure that the nuts are Lock Nuts. Once they are tight, they should not back off.
The biggest prob w/the pads is that they were used as the templet to drill the holes for the bolts and speaker wires. Well, the holes in the pad do not match the holes tower, so when the tower was bolted down, it pinched through the speaker wires causing the amp to go into protect mode.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

What are the correct pads if those are wrong?

1. Front tower mounts needed to be tightend 4 times last year. Twice there was a 1/4" of play before I noticed. I and the service dealer simply tightened the nuts - yes, nuts! - to the thru bolt. Yes - there was a loose metal plate present that made contact to the underneath fiberglass. The suggestion was to replace the non-locking nut with a locking nut. (See attached figure, plastic pad not shown in picture)
2. Original issue: Back tower mounts: seem to very tight - except (see original picture) - the pad is shifting, I cannot move the pad. Does this mean I have to loosen up the back tower mount, move the pad back, and retighten?Attached FilesLast edited by MRMoffat1; 03-06-2007, 03:36 AM.

So I will go ahead, loosen, adjust, tighten. I will monitor and report back, but still wondering if this will be the first and last time I will need to do this, or if there might be a permanent solution someone could dream up if required . . .Last edited by MRMoffat1; 03-11-2007, 07:53 PM.
