What's the secret to getting the fuel system to reprime after changing out the water separator. I burn off all the fuel in the filter, and never get primed. Do I have to remove the fuel lines and fill those as best as I can as well? BTW this is for those of us lucky enough to be running a carb with no fuel pump.

Fake a Lake....I ran it up to abour 1600 RPM, don't want to go much higher....I even rednecked the carb and poured in fuel to keep it running.
I think I lost all prime in my fuel lines when I had to de-idiot-ify the fuel separator that was on there. It was so tight I had to get a long pair of channel locks to get it off.
Thanks for the input. I think I am going to try to back fill all the fuel lines I can. the problem seems to be between my fuel flow meter, and the separator. I think that line is just full of air. I pulled the line off my pre-filter, and a little fuel came out there, so it has fuel to that point. If that fails, I may have to go out to the bayou with a can and see if I can just get it going with running the RPMs up. I also thought about installing a hand bulb temporarily to prime the lines. Problem was that I had to let it sit and drain while working that old filter off I know.
I hate mechanical fuel pumps.....I feel like I'm working on a 65 C10 or something.http://www.wakeboatworld.com

Sound like there is an air leak somewhere between the pump and the pick-up in the tank. I would go back over all the fuel lines/fittings and make sure everything is clean and tight.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
