So in that picture of the hull with the floor in it, is the Penske composite covered wit fiberglass? If that is the case I would love to have the fiberglass finished with nonskid which would work if there is already a layer of glass on the composite. We have lots of boat refinishing places here that would do an awesome job with that.
      Thanks,

Penske Xtreme is the core material with fiberglass as the top coat.

          Open this up again..

I think it would be a good idea to have snap out carpet because then I could remove it and hose down the inside, and underneath have a drain or two so the water runs into the bilge. It would be useful when we take water over the bow, because it just sits there in the water and you cant do much but sit the boat out in the sun. And plus they would make more money from us because we will drop a few more in the lake...

After coming out of a boat w/snap-out, I kinda like having glued in carpet.
1st, I dont think the carpet itself takes any longer to dry than snap-out. 2nd The backing of the snap-out would get wet and not dry til the carpet was taken out and hung up to dry, and if you didn't do this, it would mildew and stink.
I'd go either way on carpet, but would not be a deal breaker.

              chpthril,

did you ever have problems w/ the rivets breaking off?

It was a 9 yr old boat and i had no craftmanship issues w/the carpet. It just stayed wet underneath unless it was taken out and hung up to dry.

Like I said earlier, it dryed no faster hanging up than my glued in carpet in the tige. So it is just as easy to take the hose/pressurewasher into the boat and clean the carpet, well maybe easier and quicker, i dont have to haul the heavy carpet out, find a clean spot in the driveway to lay it down, wash it, then pick up a 2 ton wet "blob" and hang it on the fence for 4 days waiting to dry hoping it does not rain.

                    Just my thoughts.

See, if I had a non-skid fiberglass floor, then the carpet would not even be in the boat with as much sand and saltwater we get in the boat.

My fishing boat is that way, self-bailing cockpit and all. It's good for fishing but I'd hate my Tige if it had no carpet at all. You'd notice the sand under your feet all the time and it would always look dirty.

Agreed, but we get a lot of saltwater in the boat so I always feel that I need to wash the carpet thoroughly and then I have to use the shopvac to get as much water out of the carpet so my boat won't mold when I cover it. You said you have a Sea Pro, I am looking at one of their 21-foot bayboats. Did you buy yours before or after Brunswick bought them? I kind of like some of the pre brunswick features but would have to find one not too abused.
