DBOT5 Tower mirror and arm

I am looking for a new mirror to mount on our tower (factory Tige tower for 05). Any comments on the DBOT5 unit?

Saw it in person at our cold water reunion at Mead. Look at the pictures. I did not think it looked good on the boat but that is only my opinion

What was it that you didn't like. I don't have the option of seeing it in the flesh.

I don't like the way part of the mount is sticking straight up then it goes horizontal. It does not look as clean as the straight mounts that are higher on the tower

There is a thread about the Mirror arms some where on here. I got mine off of ebay for $85 shipped and it looks very good. It is articulating (I think that is the term). The outside is polished and the inside area is not polished where it was machined but I am going to paint it this spring Navy Blue to match the boat which should look sweet.

I have to agree with you guys; complicated is an understatement. Looks like you might be able to hang vests on it to dry.

Coach, the one you selected looks pretty simple. How is the quality of mirror and does it remain steady through the bumps?
I got the Cipa 7 x 14 mirror with the boat but it has the ball mount and not the shaft mount. I would really like to use this mirror if I can find one of the arms that works with the ball mount. Or get the piece that allows mine to use the shaft mount. Thanks for the pics.

It does not come with a mirror. My boat came with a shaft mirror. It is nice but will bounce in rough water, but so will any mirror. Overall I am happy with the mirror arm and for the price it is a great deal.

I got the fusion mirror for my boat, a little pricey, but nice. Mine is mounted up high so that there is no bend in the arm:

I think the Fusion is the best looking on the market. I will check them out at the boat show in Phoenix in a couple of weeks. Pricey is an understatement, but any thing goes for our Tiges.
