    Vinyl Cleaning

I have my new RZ2 and they are using a different vinyl. It is very soft and feels great, but I am having one hell of a time cleaning the white. I have had white interior before and just about everyone of my buddies does as well so I know about cleaning white. This new vinyl seems to attrack dirt more so than any other vinyl I have ever been around. Even after a good cleaning with warm soap and water with a Magic Eraser and some vinyl cleaner there is still dirt on the vinyl. There are some areas that I can't get it out. This is beyond me as to why this is happening. If anyone has some suggestions I am up for them. I think I am going to order some Vinyl Finish Vinyl Cleaner that is recommened, but hard to find. I don't think this is the case with the vinyl they are using on the Ve or V series which is a different vinyl.

I don't know I ours is differant vinyl or not, but I cant get mine clean at all. It seems to stain easier than my prev 2 boats.

            chpthril,

friend and I used babes boats and it was terrible. The only thing it was good for was taking the shine away from the Ducky. Just my .02 but we didn't care for it at all!

Coach....You mentioned both but did you try the vinyl cleaner with the magic eraser? I use Mequires vinyl cleaner/conditioner and it works well.

Yes I did. Still didn't work. I tried every trick that I know and I couldn't get it out.

                        Simple Green

Coach you have pics. I have some spots where I had light mildew, and once the mildew was cleaned it discolored the vinyl. Nothing will make it the same color but liberal amounts of 3M vinyl restorer with Aloe helps it get soft and close to the same color. Of course my vinyl is also 10 years old.

I've got pollen stains from when my boat was only 3 weeks old. They have faded over the summer but still there

I'm thinking you might need to break out something a little harsher, brush it, and then clean it down good and apply some vinyl conditioner and protectant immediately to keep it from getting brittle something like http://www.adamspolishes.com/site/pr...9A......either that, or head to the dealer.

Prior to putting my 2005 24V in storage, I scrubbed it with a hand brush I got at an O'Reilly Auto Parts store. I used Tuff Stuff (got at Wal-Mart) and a lot of elbow grease using the brush. The bristles are slightly tapered out which really helps in getting into the tight spots. The handle fits well into one hand. I was really impressed with the results and don't think the interior has ever been this clean.
