Help Please? Push to start....

Morning,

Seems the Push To Start button is dead? Key in, horn sounds, all electronics work, batteries charged, but no start?

Changed out the alternator 2 weeks ago when last ridden...all was fine then

Any ideas?

Update...Starter/solenoid now just clicks away....going to clean all contacts and see if this helps?

Unstuck...LOL!

Tried it..got the boat to turn over and almost start, but the engine made a god awful noise...so I shut it down and called a local mechanic...may be worse than I think?

Ran just fine at last outing?

I bought the exact same boat earlier this year. Same thing happened to me, starter bendex was corroded and gummed up. Was able to get started after tapping with hammer and hitting it with lots of WD-40. Eventually bought a new starter. Easy and safer fix.

Put a new starter in it. Your noises may be just the starter, not the engine.
