Touch Screen Delamination

Touch screen is almost totally delaminated. . . Was told Medallion, the manufacture, would warranty it. That was not the case. They wont even work with anyone but wholesallers and dealers. My local dealer is telling me that its $2k to fix. . . A brand new Ipad isnt even $2k. . . I just want to be able to surf !!!!

Yeah I know tige has a 3 year on that.... I would maybe reach out to them given you are beyond the warranty timeline.

Yours is story that I think a lot of boat owners will be telling on many boat forums in the coming years. Until people quit buying touchscreen boats and manufacturers dont keep upping each other on screen size and number of screen its only going to get worse.

The good news is a really crafty guy could make switches happen via the medallion fuse box if he really wanted. Its a total PITA but if you REALLY want to surf pull your kick panel and find the big black rectangle box. Move the ballast fill fuses over to the blank slot to the right and the pumps will run. Pull fuse when full. You will have to do this for pretty much all functions so if staying out after dusk youd have to do it for NAV/ANC lights as well. It would at least get you boating until you get a screen.

Cant wait to bypass screens and modulate PDMs via switches in 10 years and guys dont want to pay for the screen. Only downside is all the gauges are in the Murphy screen vs older medallion still had dash gauges.

I have a 14 Z1 that we purchased new at the end of the summer in 2015. Bubbles started in the top right of the screen and has stating losing sensitivity.

Was able to get mine approved for replacement under warranty. Not sure if there are any laying around at some dealer, but Tige came back and said that the C2003 screen is currently on back order and they do not have an ETA on when they will get more.
