Anybody use some type of bilge heater for the winter? I have read about boat safe and extreme heaters.
Also have read about some people using goldenrods in their bilges but not sure if they will put out enough heat. Anybody tried this? Seems like they are used more for keeping the compartment dry and mildew free rather than heater.
Want to use the boat year round but want something to protect from those random cold spells that might last a day or so. It's been a while since we have had a whole day below freezing but it might happen. If it is going to be too bad I can lower the boat into the water for some extra insulation. Only water freezing around here might be the dog's waterbowl.
