The stitching on my seats are separating in all of the back and side cushions. Thank goodness Tige is replacing under warranty.[/COLOR]

Seeing how this problem is not very common , if you dont mind as a dealer I have a few questions. What climate do you live in. and kind of treatment or products did you use on the interior.

        Dom,

I've seen this quite a bit down here in Texas. Several friends have the same problem. It seemed to be an issue on 2001-2003 v-drives. I think that's why you can flip over the seats in the Ves and the new RZ2

I have had the same thing happen to my 2001 23V. I was second owner on the boat so I am not sure what the first owner used.

Thankfully Tige took care of me.

The real problem is that on a V-Drive, there's no place to step down into except the seats so they take a lot of abuse. Plus, they get wet. Add all the sunscreen that typically rubs off on them and you really need a better stitching pattern than what they used prior to the redesigned upholstry in 2005.

The walk-through transom and the flip over/carpeted cushion was one of the things that drew me to the Ve. The sun pad on our FourWinns was starting to pull loose at the seams due to traffic.

I must say that the upholstery on my Tige is not as tough as my F/W. after only one season, I have some stains that will not come out, and a couple of small cuts compaired to the condition of the F/W upholstery after 8 seasons.

Just dropped our 2005 22i off at the dealer today for the same reasons stated above. We noticed the stiching was bad in a couple of places the day we picked our boat up ( ordered it in January of 05, picked it up April 05). It looked like the vinyl was stretched too much?? Over the last year, several other places started developing upholstery issues. Dealer has said all along that they would take care of these things. We waited until now just before we put it away for the winter. Hopefully everything turns out right!

BTW, we wipe the upholstery down with mild soapy water almost every time we take the boat out. We also dry it off as soon as it comes out of the water. It gets vaccumed out about every other outing. It's always covered with a rankin cover. Boat has 227.3 hours.

I have the same problem on my 2004 24V. The small middle cushion takes a beating. I am in the Ohio and I boat in Kentucky. I use McGuiras vinyl cleaner and the 303 protectant. If any has suggestions to avoid the seam damage I am all ears.

I have a 24v and live in west TX & having the same problem. I use mild soap & water, then use Maguire's vinyl or 303. When I take the boat to get winterized Andrew is going to get that fixed for me.

I had the same issue on my 2001 2100V in 04- the stiching was pulling out on the back cushions 'cause the kids step in right there- soaking wet and the seats get saturated and can't vent the water out very well. We had the rear cushions re-done ( they were perfect by the way- great color match) and I had two extra vent holes drilled in the proboard under each cushion. This has helped a TON! The cushions dry faster and they don't hold water like they used to nearly as bad. Tige provided the vinyl at little or no-charge and a local fab shop did the rest- it worked out great!

I just had all my seats replaced (under warranty) for the same reason. The stitching just pulled apart. I live in Montana-however, my boat is garaged all the time, so I think the new VE will do away with the problem---I hope, as I just ordered the 2007 24VE.

I've had ALL of my rear seating surfaces on my '04 22v replaced- the thread for the stitching actually broke in one of the front seats as well.

First, the observer/bartender seat started tearing in the middle where there are two perpendicular seams, towards the edge of the cushion. Shortly after, the two back seats on each side, then the middle one under the pylon. Finally, the last one- behind the observer's seat now needs replacing. So far, all of the seats have been replaced by Tige at my request.

I live in Texas and the boat is garage kept. I use fantastic as a cleaner and 303 protectant- nothing else. Oh the boat has less than 250 hours on it.
