Lowering tower on 2000 21v limited

Anyone lowered this tower before? Boat lives on on a lift so I've never had to lower but we are pulling it out to spend time at a chain of lakes where you have to fit under a bridge. The screws on each side on the top came out after a fight, but I want to know if you have to loosen the screws at the bases or if they pivot when you lower it. Any feedback appreciated.

You should remove the front lower bolts and loosen the lower rear bolts then lay the tower down towards the rear of the boat. The front arms should then fold inward as to fold on top of each other.

Dang, I did it again. More than one sentence.

Lee, so the bolts at the top stay put? It seems like the weak link in this older tower design as there is a male/female slot that has to match up. Tks again

You do not need to take the two top bolts off the arms, just loosen so they will swing in.
