The panel is non removable. I used a Rotozip to cut mine.

Do they still make the Rotozips. Them things are handy little buggers.

BTW- Congrats on the Old Timers status. That's two Nor Nevs in the Senior ranks. Battle Born Baby!

I don't now if they still make them or not, I have had mine for a few years now. I did see a Dewalt version this weekend.

        Thanks.

Is that RZ2 unwrapped yet in town?

I started the hole with a drill bit and then used a jig saw very carefully. I think it gave a smoother line than a roto zip would have. The wood is about 3/4 to 1" thick.

If you get cut on the push stroke Jig saw blades, you will have a cleaner cut than conventional ones.

They are kind of hard to find, and a more expensive as well.

              Does your horn buzz?

Nice dual subs! how did you deal with your horn? I have a 800W 12 installed in same spot and my horn sounds like a blown speaker when the bass hits. I also noticed your jumper box. How many batteries do you run? Did you use a cap? I've heard mixed reviews on their necessity.

Thank you. I've never had an issue with the horn. I have 2 batterries with a simple on/off switch. I'm not sure what you mean about using a cap?

We use a 1 farad cap on all of our sub installs.

                    horn buzz

my Tige boat horn is in the same airspace as the sub under the steering wheel. When the bass hits it vibrates the horn... Guess its not a prob or you would have know what I was talking about.
