Hi all -
Is there any way to remove the forks (or even the whole rack assembly) from an Alpha Z tower? These are the clamping type that have a knurled nob on the top that the whole thing appears to hinge/swing on. Can I just pop this pin out and remove the forks?
Just for some context... in the summer, we keep our Z3 in the double-wide portion of our garage for easy in/out. Over the winter, I like to keep it in the 3rd garage bay. Unfortunately, I can't lay the tower down far enough with the racks inboard (found that out the hard way as it ripped the vinyl from the weight). With them swung out, I can lay the tower down far enough, but they are too wide for the garage door at that point . That said, if it's easy enough to just pop them off for the winter, that's the route I'll go.
Thanks for the help!
