The wife states she'd like a depth finder onboard, cool, whatever. I checked into them and I don't see how you can add a glue on transducer with the flooring in place? I'm sure not ripping out the floor for that! Any thoughts? Anyone done this before?

Yeah, I put one in mine. Peace-o-cake. I mounted the transducer back by the drive line, right to the hull. There should be a section of the floor you can lift up that accesses the drive line and exhaust logs. I routed the wire to the gauge back up by the gas tank and then up the side to the dash. Wired it to an unused ACC switch on the dash and it's worked perfect every day since. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I just bought this Depth sounder on E Bay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hawke...QQcmdZViewItem
This is from Norcross Marine, and they have been very helpful through the process of buying and preparing to install. When I pulled out my speedometer to replace it with the Perfect Pass, I lost my depth finder in the dash.
I am planning on installing the depth finder this weekend, and I was wondering if I could tap into the old transducer that is mounted on the back of my boat instead of installing the new thru-hull piece. Has anyone tried this?
