    What's this?

    I'm doing the prep work for adding a third battery and came across this and don't know what it is or what it does. One pos. lead from the deepcycle battery runs through it.

    Don't know what kind of boat this pic is from, much easier to see than my Ve

    Any help would be great! Thanks.

    Looks like some kind of circuit breaker or fuse mechanism. When I wired my amps, the positive lead cable I used had a similar mechanism that would handle 60 amps.

      That looks like a 50 amp breaker that is used on Skier Choice boats.

          Just to reconfirm. That is a Rockford Fosgate circuit breaker. It goes to your amps. Circuit Breakers are preferred because of the speed they trip, and the fact that they are resettable, vs. a fuse. When it trips, it will push the red button out, and you can reset it by pushing it back in. I love those. I had a 120A one on my tahoe not long ago.
