    Taps plate missing a screw?

After taking the boat out and giving it a good scrub... 3 painful hours later. I noticed that the taps 2 plate only has one screw going into it, but has room for two. Is it supposed to be like this?

Nope. Add a new stainless steel screw. Just take the other one to Home Depot and find a mate. They should have it.

I can't be sure, but it looks like there should be a nut on that too. I'd suggest a locknut. There is no way a screw threaded in to plastic will hold anything.

It should absolutely have ny-lock nuts on those two screws.

Would you even be able to get some sort of a nut on it with the small amount of clearance available

The screws thread into the plastic, there are no nuts on them

Super Common Problem seen this on pretty much ALL of the Taps2 setups, after a few bags of screws I said screw it (PUN-Intended) bought lockwashers and ny-loc nuts with blue loctight and then a dab of 5100 on the end of the screw for good measure. Not coming off any more LOL.
