Stereo cutting out while increasing RPM

I have a 2008 tige 22ve, the boat is equipped with a clarion stereo and a wet sounds Syn 6 amplifier. I'm having a problem with my stereo cutting out when I increase engine RPM. Volume is not being adjusted. The amplifier is showing a code 14 failure which is Overvolt.

Has anyone experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?

Start with the over volt code. Excessive voltage can harm many circuits on the boat. This indicates the amp is sensing excessive voltage on the power terminals, so it shuts itself off as a self preservation mode. Under the same conditions, test the voltage at the amp terminals. Id first do this will the stereo off.

Thanks for your response. I don't have a volt meter with me at this time. The voltage readout on LED dash display is only showing 13.5 volts. Normal, according to the manual is 13 To 14.5 volts, so I don't know why my amp is cutting out on over voltage.
I will also check to ensure the ground connection is secure. Any other ideas?

      Thanks

I found my problem. While cheching the connections I noticed the ground wire on the amplifier was a little loose. I tightened it and took the boat out for a test drive; the stereo never cut out again.
