    Impeller Exploded

My impeller went out this weekend. I pulled the pump to bench change it and only recovered what looked to be half of the impeller in the housing and the liquid-2-liquid cooler. Can anyone tell me if the remainder--which i'm assuming is floating aroud in my cooling system--is going to do any damage? Is there a technique for back-flushing the system? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, it can do damage if it blocks a water passage. I'm not sure of any technique for back flushing it. You might be stuck pulling parts off and cleaning them out by hand. Do a seach for impeller and see what comes up.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I would pull the water hoses connected to it off and check them first.

If you pull the part of the hose off that goes to the engine. There should be a screen that would hold most of the impeller pieces.
If its not fun, Why do it?

Make sure you keep all the pieces you find and try and put the pieces back together again to make sure you got all them.
