    Gunrail traction pads

Looking to put some traction pads on gunrails, the walk through, and back accessory hatches/step. Wondering if any has pictures of theirs to give me ideas to pattern my layout... Also, did you use seadek, gator skinz, or other??? Thanks...

I forget which member did this but I'd like to do something like this in the future. http://www.seadek.com/blog/seadek-on-a-tige-22ve/

I've also thought about glassing all 3 of my rear hatches closed, removing the hinges, and making one large mat for the rear. I never use those hatches and it's the number one way I get water back in the boat when surfing.

Most of these sites you have to create a template yourself and send them in. It's only as other such as yourself that do this that the manufacturer is able to compile templates for older boats that aren't part of their OEM production. I believe seadek sends you a kit which is just some clear plastic so you can trace the lines of the different panels etc. For your walkways you can just follow where the glass is textured and where it's not as your line. A piece of paper and a crayon would work too.

I had GatorGrip on my old boat, and loved it! Put in on 6 years ago and it still looked new this winter. I actually did the nose, side rails, area between the back seats and engine/storage covers and entire rear platform with one sheet! I'm sure I have some pictures....will look! We could do it in a few hours one weekend if you wanted!

FYI, it's called a gunwale, not gunrail. Not trying to be snobby, just informative.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

What? And you forgot to include the proper, non-obvious pronounciation?

Okay...so I just sent back the corrections to seadek for exactly this. They have the spdrawing on file from an 07 22VE assumed it would be the same WRONG! The location of the latch on the walk through was different, the hardware on the latches was different and the sizes were wrong, at least for my application. Get a hold of seadek and buy their Mylar kit and make your own.

Seadek has 1ft x 3" pads, pack of 4 i think on their site. If you have that already in your swim platform/back walk area you could probably get matching.
