    changing how taps works

Hi all. New to this and new to owning a tige . Recently bright a96 pre2000wt.. love skiing behind find it has a great wake for slalom but when the key is turned off the taps defaults back to wakeboard does any one know if it can be changed to always default to slalom as we sometimes forget to change the setting when taking off
    any would be appreciated
    thanks Brad

IIRC, there is a wire that can be cut/disconnected, that will stop the TAPS from homing when shut off. Try searching first to see what comes up.

Don't know if this can be done.. The early versions of TAPs were hydraulic systems that had a little pump. Once you kill the power and your pump stops, your gonna lose pressure and the plate reverts back to its home position..

Yes mine is hydraulic. Was hoping it could be changed . Hopefully some one on here might have an easy fix

Not sure if it's possible, but look at the actuator and see if it will work if reversed end for end? If no pressure makes it home to wakeboard, maybe it could be reversed to home to slalom.. Just a shot in the dark, I really have no clue if it's even possible

a 96 shouldn't be moving once key is turned off. Sounds to me like you might have a bad relay that is stuck, because the relays themselves do keep a constant 12+. Look under the dash should see 2 black relays for the TAPs. Id start by changing those out as they are pretty cheap.
