Coughs and sputters after hard run

Hello,
My 2005 340 hp seems to have a problem. I just got the boat and after a hard run upon restarting the engine coughs and runs rough. It clears out and runs OK after a few minutes on plane.

I was having some coughing going on with my boat as well (350 Mag/MPI)... Not exactly after a hard run.. be interested to hear what people say.. I replaced an impeller but not sure that was the problem.. Seemed like my belt was having trouble spinning though.. My boat actually started and the belt did not turn at all.. So I would take the belt off and turn the impeller pulley by hand.. put the belt back on and then was G2G... Sorry.. Not trying to Hijack.. but maybe we are experiencing something similar..
