    Coil around fuel pump

I was doing my basic routine of cleaning and generally messing around in my boat today and I just happened to glance at the fuel pump. I noticed that the coil wrapped around it is loose and hanging down further than it used to. So, of course I start to investigate. I am not sure if this is a problem. It looks like it was jb welded in place from the factory and that weld has broken. I really have no idea how long it has beenn like this. I can easily wiggle it up and down a full half inch.

Anyone ever run into this? If so, what did you do to fix it?tmp_20150618_1825281248158992.jpgtmp_20150618_182551247315472.jpg

Yes and if you didn't catch it when you did, if you notice the power cable for the pump is directly under it. Over time the coil would have slid down and disconnected the power.(ask me how I know). I just zippy'd it up no issues since.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

I went and bought some of the quick weld putty and forced it into the open areas, so far it is holding well and I will keep an eye on it. If that breaks again I will go with the zip tie fix. Thanks!
