Wakeboard Tower Tow Point is cutting rope?

I've started to notice on my Wakeboard Tower, when we use the tow point with our wakeboard rope, the edge of the tow point is starting to cut into the rope from where the rope swivels back and forth. It's slowly cutting into the rope. Is there any kind of cover for the tow point or accessory out there that can help prevent this? Thanks for any input!

Would it be possible to smooth it out by sanding/filing/grinding? You could also try wrapping the tow point in UMHW tape:

My first thought too. A few moments with a Dremel tool and a burnishing wheel could be a very easy solution.

      Can you post a photo?

It will be interesting to see the pics. I know this is more $$$ than you were thinking about , but a Comptech trick release will add a tremendous amount of safety as well as extend your rope mounting point.
